Independent agencies have evolved nicely, thank you

April 8 through 10, 2018, advertising executives from around world convened in Miami Beach for the annual 4A's Accelerate Conference. One of those executives attending was Marcus Thomas LLC's Chief Client Officer Mark Bachmann. One of the others was P&G Chief Brand Officer Marc Pritchard, whose opening keynote called out client and agencies as being "archaic."

As you might expect, Mark Bachmann took exception to the broad brush painting all agencies. In an April 20 Adweek op-ed, Bachmann makes the point that independent agencies, like Marcus Thomas,  have evolved quite nicely and are doing very well for their clients.
