Super Bowl spot 'perfect' for launch of innovative glucose monitoring technology

AdAge, the leading publication in the advertising business, featured in its Feb 7, 2023 edition a tightly written summary of Marcus Thomas's new Super Bowl spot for client Dexcom, the glucose monitoring brand.

The 30-second spot features Nick Jonas for the second straight year—this time introducing its G7 device, which received FDA clearance in December.

Jonas, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 13, uses some sleight of hand, and some CGI, to unveil the G7, a next-generation continuous glucose monitoring system. 

“Nick lends street credibility and authenticity. A human connection,” added Jamie Venorsky, Marcus Thomas partner and chief creative officer. “There’s nothing gratuitous about the use of his celebrity. His fandom is real for the product that’s so easy to use, it’s kind of like magic.”
